Instalation of FLIGHTRADAR@UBI

An ADS-B receiver (Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) that can identify and collect information about aircrafts flying over an airspace, such as identification, position, altitude and speed was installed at Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI). The position of the aircraft is given through GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and it is transmited to ground stations. The ground station UBI_Aerospace Sciences Department (UBI_DCA) has the F-LPVR1 callsign. This device was installed by several NIT members, being of the responsibility of João Neves/NIT.
